Grief, Guilt & Shame:
Releasing the Heaviest Burdens
Some emotions feel too big for the body to hold.
They say time heals all wounds, but time alone does not heal grief, guilt, or shame. These emotions have a physical weight.
When grief gets stuck or shame takes root, they lodge themselves deeply in the nervous system and the tissues of the body. Healing requires more than just time and talking.

The Physical Weight of Unresolved Emotion
When heavy emotions remain unprocessed, they often manifest as:
- Chronic physical pain, exhaustion, and a persistent tightness in the chest
- A profound shock to the nervous system that never fully settles
- A constant, paralyzing inner voice that says 'I am bad' or 'I am broken'
- The urge to hide, disconnect from others, and isolate yourself
- Constantly punishing yourself for past mistakes
- Feeling like you are carrying a physical weight you cannot set down
Grief is not just sadness; it is a shock to the system. Guilt and shame compound the pain, causing us to disconnect from the world.
Shame is arguably the most paralyzing emotion the human body can experience.
The Missing Piece
You can talk about your loss or your regrets for years. You can understand the stages of grief, or logically know that you deserve forgiveness.
But if the heavy, dense energy of these emotions is still trapped in your body, the pain will persist.
The nervous system needs a way to metabolize and discharge these massive emotional loads. It needs a safe container to process what was previously too overwhelming to feel.
Through somatic and energy healing, we do not try to fix your grief or erase your past. Instead, we create a deeply safe space for your body to finally process the energy it has been holding onto. We gently clear the energetic imprints of shame and self-punishment, allowing your nervous system to return to a state of flow and regulation.
My trauma healing session with Will was amazing. I have had deep grief inside me for a long time. Through the session, this blockage was released. Will provided such a safe space that I was able to feel these trapped emotions and release them. Afterwards, I felt lighter, and since then, I have been able to breathe much easier.

What Becomes Possible
When grief and shame are processed somatically, they transform:
- The crushing physical weight lifts from your chest
- You can remember what you lost without being destroyed by the memory
- You stop hiding and no longer feel the need to apologize for your existence
- You find profound, embodied self-forgiveness
- You find peace, lightness, and the freedom to move forward with an open heart
What remains is love.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will releasing grief mean I am forgetting them?
No. Releasing the physical pain of grief actually allows you to connect more deeply with the love and the positive memories. The love remains; only the suffering is released.
How do I forgive myself for something terrible I did?
Self-forgiveness cannot be forced by the mind. It happens naturally when we somatically process the guilt and understand the nervous system state that drove the behavior. We heal the root, and forgiveness follows.
Where is shame stored in the body?
Shame often causes a physical collapse: slumped shoulders, a sunken chest, and a desire to avert the eyes. It is frequently held in the heart center and the gut. Somatic work directly addresses these physical postures.
Why does talking about it not always help?
You can talk about your loss or your regrets for years, but if the heavy, dense energy of these emotions is still trapped in your body, the pain will persist. The nervous system needs a way to physically metabolize and discharge these massive emotional loads.
What happens in the Free Break the Cycle Intensive?
It is a live, guided teaching session where we explore why heavy emotions like grief and shame stay stuck in the body, why time alone does not always heal, and what needs to shift at the nervous system level for true release.
